Alpine Valley RV Resort is 37 miles south of the tourist destination of Jackson, WY and was a treat to stay at for a week. The park was established in 2021 and they have asphalt roads leading to each RV spot. The sites have concrete pads, an outdoor table and chairs set, a grassy area with a fire pit, and beautiful landscaping throughout the park. This is definitely on the high end of places we have stayed, but it felt worth it when you stepped outside each time. The views definitely were gorgeous.

We had a day of adventure and decided to go Whitewater Rafting on the Snake River. Normally the rapids are rated Class 2-3, but were more like Class 4 when we were there in June. And that is out of a scale of 5! They had us geared up in wetsuits, protective booties, life jackets and helmets. It was no joke! After the safety briefing of all the things we should do if the raft flipped or if you found yourself swimming in the river, we were only slightly apprehensive to that which we had committed! It was AMAZING! Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and had great skill of our raft. Mind you, seven of us had to paddle like crazy when we were going through each set of rapids. It was a rush to say the least!

One afternoon we drove up to Grand Teton National Park. Standing near that mountain range is like nothing else. Appreciating the wide open spaces that are still preserved in this country is something to behold; Chad and I had been there probably ten years ago, and it is still breathtaking.

Another highlight for me was getting to sing karaoke for a night at a local bar and grill. It had been ages since I had done that, and it was a fun time! Once again, just taking advantage of the local activities proved to be a good time!
