Thankfully, we had a great time in San Antonio to make up for the "eventful" travel day.

Highlights: we saw The Alamo, strolled around the River Walk, went to a couple shops with local artisans, had brunch with TJ (Ann's nephew) and Ali in the Pearl District area, Ann went to the studio where Ali teaches and took a yoga class, ate some delicious BBQ, did some other shopping, and experienced humidity for the first time in almost 10 years for a couple days! Yep...it still sucks.

There are huge Live Oak trees in the area. Stunning.

We tried to go back the second week we were here, but they were closed. That's the thing about barbeque...they have "hours", but only stay open until they sell out and sometimes you miss out!
