October was an eventful month! We had a visit from our daughter for a few days on her college break. Our adventures included a hike, lots of yummy food at a nearby food truck depot, and a visit to the Japanese Gardens in Portland, OR. It was beautiful! I would highly recommend visiting the gardens if you are in the area.

We also ventured into Washington for three weeks. Two of the weeks we spent in Cougar, which is only about 6 miles from Mount St. Helens! Chad and I went on a hike, saw some amazing scenery, and got rained on a lot. That's the Pacific Northwest in the fall, I guess. We also had zero cell service while in Cougar. Oops. Thankfully, we also have satellite internet through Starlink and the campground wi-fi was decent. It was still a little more remote than Chad would like, but we now know that for next time! The next stop was just down the road into civilization a bit more in the town of Woodland. It was a cute little area.

And now for the "bit more craziness" part. WE GOT A NEW RV!

We decided to make a switch to a drivable RV and traded in the fifth wheel, truck, and our motorcycle, as well. Our new ride is a Newmar Super Star 4065. It's beautiful! It is more spacious in some ways and also has some safety benefits over the fifth wheel, in our opinion. We both have said it feels like a little condo inside. We love it and yes, we do admit that we are even crazier than we thought.

It's been a whirlwind of activity in our world. We like to keep things interesting, I guess. No moss is growing on us! I'll give some more detail on the new digs in the next post, but wanted to get an update out here in the time being. We hope all is well in your worlds, and hope to see you on the road!
