Highlights of Anaconda, MT

The weather in Montana did not disappoint. We were hoping for cooler temperatures, and we got them. It has ranged from 66 degrees and rainy to 88 degrees and sunny. We will have to re-think our rainy weather setup for entering the rig. It got a bit messy. Shoe storage is definitely on the shopping list and maybe a bigger outdoor rug. Not all sites allow big rugs, though, so TBD.

Anaconda was celebrating its Smelterman's Days last weekend, so we were able to partake in a beerfest at a local park. There were four local breweries that had 2 offerings each. The ones we tried were delicious.  We even ventured out despite the rainy day. #rvlife

The restaurant game is pretty strong for such a little town. We enjoyed a night of Italian cuisine and pizza from O'Bella and burgers at Donivan's. We were able to connect with a previous co-worker of Ann's the other night and enjoyed a supper club steak dinner at Barclay II.

Golf at the Old Works course was absolutely beautiful. My game was a little rusty, but the views were amazing from every hole. The sand traps are filled with slag, hence the black color. It still plays like sand, which we unfortunately discovered quite a bit.

Of course, it's not all fun and games on this adventure. Chad is working full-time, so we have to plan our fun around work hours. Tonight's plan is to hit an ice cream spot before we head out for the next location tomorrow morning. We both admit that we are eating like we are on vacation, so we will have to rein that in a bit as we move forward. Funny thing is, we have also been cooking more since we have been on the road. It's all about balance, right?

Until next time...Ann
