The main purpose for traveling to Alvarado was to get some warranty work done on our Newmar.
Our appointment at Holiday World on Monday went well and they were able to check off a bunch of the items on our punch list.
9:00-10:00 am Dropped off the rig and Jazmine hung out in the Jeep.
10:00-11:00 am We all hung out in the dealership waiting area. They were dog friendly!
11:00-12:00 pm Found a local cafe to have lunch.
12:00- 2:00 pm Drove the Jeep back to the RV park to sit in the clubhouse that had wi-fi. Sadly, the wi-fi was not working well, so we just used our phones as hotspots to surf the web.
3:00- 4:00 pm Decided to go for a drive around Alvarado to kill some time.
4:00- 5:15 pm Headed back to the dealership to check on the progress of work. Got a walk-through on what was completed and what items are left for another time.
There are a couple items that need parts ordered or they didn't have time to address, so we may check in with the "mothership", aka Newmar headquarters, in Nappanee, Indiana later this fall. We have heard the customer experience at Newmar Corp is pretty amazing, so that's an intriguing possibility.
We went to nearby Midlothian to hit a Walmart, and had dinner at Twisted Sisters Tap House. Who could resist that name? They had a bunch of funky art featuring the sisters (I assume). Along with a large selection of beer on tap, they have wood-fired pizza that we enjoyed with a big caesar salad. In case you really want to know what we ate!
